Territory : Reserve of Akwesasne
Geographical location : The Akwesasne Reserve straddles the borders of Quebec, Ontario and New-York State with direct access to the St. Lawrence Seaway - 75 km west of Montreal.
Area : 26,000 sq. miles
Population : Only a portion of the Akwesasne Mohawk reserve is situated in Quebec. Aministratively speaking, this community is unde the responsability of the Ontario regional office (DIAND).
